We’ve been in the Topeka, Kansas area for the past few days. Topeka is the state capital and the location for the famous Brown vs Board of Education. It appears that this area may also have the fewest service stations that provide diesel fuel.
On our way north from the Lake Eufaula area, some of the interesting things we saw along the way were;
The Arkansas River and bridge.
The huge Amazon.com distribution center.
And the cute, and apparently thriving town of Burlington, Kansas. Burlington is home to the Wolf Creek Nuclear Power Plant.
Sitting outside our rig, we were treated to a wonderful fireworks show on Saturday night.
Today, we’re heading on to Branson, Missouri for a few days. We’ll be staying at the Pea Patch RV Park in Branson. It is a new entry on the Passport-America website. They are very close to the action and provide free park-wide Wi-Fi.
We’ll report more upon our arrival.
