103 degrees in Las Vegas Sunday June 3, 2007

With this post and the last one, we’re trying something new to help the pages upload a little faster.  We’ve reduced the photo size (memory) to help speed things along.

It was going to be 103 degrees today in Las Vegas so we got up real early and headed to Blythe, CA on our way to Tucson, AZ.   The road just goes on and on!!!!

It is 106 here in Blythe.  It is suppose to be 109 degrees tomorrow so we again will get an early start and head to Tucson where it is cooler, only 99 degrees.  Summer has certainly arrived in the Southwest desert.

As we travel along the roads and highways we like to help the communities with their economy like eating in restaurants, buying gas, and staying in RV Parks.  Well, we really succeeded with Las Vegas.  We helped their economy a lot by leaving our money there!!!!!!!!!!

The group Creedence Clearwater was in LV June 1st and 2nd. We made reservations and where able to purchase affordable Le Reve tickets online to see them.  After we had paid for our tickets we noticed it said Creedence Clearwater Revisited.  Ooooppps!  During their heyday their name was Creedence Clearwater Revival.  So we got on the internet and looked them up.  There were 2 oringinal members with this Revisited group.  But the main singer, John Fogerty, was not in this group.  They hired a singer that sounded like Fogerty so CCR sounded like themselves.  They sang their own songs straight for an hour and half.  The lead singer sang every song.  We really enjoyed them.  This is our first concert in a long time and things do change.  Years ago everyone would have a lit cigarrette lighter waving in the air.  People do not carry lighters like they used to so they use their open cell phones to provide light now or battery charged small lightbulbs.

Bellagio is famous for its beautiful dancing fountain.  This is Sam’s Town’s own version.

We had a great time in Las Vegas but it is time to move on down the road.

I am now saving my money for my old age…so no rescuing little sisters. Besides I now have a list of things to do in the next few years and giving you money didn’t make the list!
Your site did download much faster this time. What a heat wave!! Have you learned to use your generator yet?
